Elsie MacGill was inducted into the Canadian Science and Engineering Hall of Fame in 1992. Many awards and fellowships have been created in her name, and continue to be given out today.
Though her accomplishments as an engineer are numerous, it was important to MacGill that her work on women’s rights not be forgotten:
"I have received many engineering awards, but I hope I will also be remembered as an advocate for the rights of women and children."
