Madrid Río is an urban park that runs parallel to the Manzanares River. The project began in 2005, with the aim of redeveloping the area and recovering the banks of the river for the use and enjoyment of citizens. A large-scale project that involved the burying of the M-30 in that area, the construction of bridges and structures, landscaping and renaturalization of the park, and which has won several awards for its ecological, social and cultural impact.
