Gods and Goddesses were the recurring theme in the earlier days; this is Kondiah Raju's take on Ravi Varma's Ahalya Shaap Vimochan.
The original work has Maharishi Vishwamitra seated along with Lord Rama and Lakshmana on either side, here Ahalya, who is released from her curse of being turned into a stone by Rama, is blessed by the lord with Vishwamitra and Lakshmana in the background.
The script on the top left of the calendar says ‘80 count’. This is a reference to the thickness of the yarn.
