In a room just off the Entrance Hall is the Flower Room, in here you will locate Mah-Jongg’s ladder. This ladder was used so he could get from the ground floor to his sleeping quarters. His quarters had central heating. And the walls were decorated with Madagascan bamboo forest scenes. After being bought at Harrods in 1923, he lived with the Courtauld’s for 15 years before he died.
