Savitri, the daughter of King Ashvapati decides to marry a woodcutter, Satyavan, who had saved her from a tiger, and lives a poor lifestyle in a Rishi-Ashram. When Satyavan is bitten by a snake, Sati Savitri goes all the way to stop the God of Death from taking her beloved husband’s life.
