Making a Bride

Jayasri Burman studied printmaking in Paris. Her works have been exhibited in the 1987 International Triennale, Germany, Gallery Sumukha in Hong Kong, Royal Cultural Centre in Amman, etc.

Burman's works are mainly in watercolour, using rich, intense hues. Her paintings have mythical themes with strong female characters and strange hybrid creatures.
