Patrick Mukabi’s work captures the daily lives of ordinary people, articulating the beauty of ordinary events and the people engaging in them. His work, often celebrating women, has been exhibited around the world and has found a home in public spaces in Kenya and internationally.
An artist at the GoDown Arts Centre at its inception in 2003, Mukabi, popularly known as ‘Panye’ currently runs the Dust Depo Art Gallery. In this space, he actively mentors aspiring artists while continuing to create new work. He describes teaching young children art as one of his favorite activities.
