Liguria and its landscapes characterized by the green hills, the rugged rocks, the sky and the sea of a very bright blue, are a source of inspiration and creative lymph for the artist. Bruno Zoni was fascinated by the Cinque Terre and by Manarola in particular, which he knew thanks to his painter friend Renato Birolli and where, from 1958, he spent long summer stays. Manarola was a city of sea, rocks, colorful houses, luxuriant nature: all this is summarized here in the splitting of the floors and, at the same time, in the splitting of the brushwork which, in recent years, takes on another value. Large toungs of color, in fact, intertwine and juxtapose, creating squares of whites, blues, reds, yellows.
