Image headed by the number XIV of the manuscript "Memories of the Peruvian monarchy or Sketch of the history of the Incas", written by Justo Sahuaraura (Cusco, 1775 - Canas, ca. 1853), a descendant of the Inca monarchy. The manuscript contains several independent parts of each other, including a genealogy of the Inca governors, events of the Conquest of Peru, an account of the play of the Ollantay rebellion, among other news up to around Independence.
The character inside the medallion surrounded by a laurel wreath represents Manco Inca. In the lower part and on the back of the portrait, there is a brief historical description of the Inca and his descendants.
