The Manica Lunga was built by the architects Carlo and Amedeo di Castellamonte as a gallery for Carlo Emanuele I, a great collector of works of art. Survivor of Filippo Juvarra's project is part of the Castello di Rivoli which has undergone several changes, up to that of Andrea Bruno, who, at least for the third floor, brought it back to its intended use, that of space for the installation of works of art.
