Maria is an Iranian transsexual. She changed her gender some years ago after a life as a truck driver on the Iran-Europe route. Her life is more difficult now. Maria's family thought their father had married another woman. But after a 'yellow' paper revealed her true identity, they found out that 'Asgar' had become 'Maria'. Depression has hit her hard. She now leads a lonely life in a small room in downtown Tehran.
