Marianne North Gallery

The Marianne North Gallery is a collection of exquisite 19th-century botanical art. After 13 years of travel that took her to many corners of the globe, she had an idea. She wanted to exhibit the paintings in the Gardens. In 1879, she offered to build a gallery here if the then Kew Director Joseph Hooker would agree to display her life's work.
