Photograph of Martha Graham in the principal role of The Chosen One in the first the first American production of "Le Sacre du Printemps" (The Rite of Spring) choreographed by Léonide Massine and conducted by Leopold Stokowski. Graham danced on April 11,12, and 14, 1930 at the Metropolitan Opera House in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and April 22, 23, 1930 at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City.
