Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian

The
  painting is an important example of the language of Antonio Campi in a decade
  of intense experimentation, during which the artist elaborated an exemplary
  style of clarity to satisfy his religious clients. In this work, which comes from the church of
  Sant’Antonio alle Monache in Milan, strong naturalism is enriched with Nordic
  suggestions and there is a great attention to the incidence of light.
