Portrait of Mary Elisabeth II van den Bergh (1613-1671). She became the marquis of Bergen op Zoom in 1649. This portrait is special because she is being portrayed here with her hair loosely draped over the shoulders. This was at the time a symbol of loose morals and was everything but a decent way for nobility to behave.
