Stained-glass window V45 of Milan Duomo is dedicated to the iconographic theme of the Assumption of Mary. It was created by Giovanni Battista Bertini, in collaboration with the Banfi and Dell'Acqua company, based on cartoons by the painter and teacher at Brera Academy Luigi Sabatelli (1834-1838). The Assumption is represented in the centre of the stained-glass window with a large group of angels and cherubs in adoration. A golden background opens bursts open from behind the Virgin and embellishes the monumental work. Particular care and attention has been paid in the use of enamels and grisaille.
