Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority 5164 (Boston) at Seashore Trolley Museum

Boston Elevated Ry. 1908-1947; Metropolitan Transit Authority 1947-1974 - Accessioned 1974 - The third in the Boston Semiconvertible Series (No type 4s survive). Acquired as a snow plow, it is hoped that this car, only one of the surviving Type 3 Plows that still has its original roof, can be reconfigured in passenger mode, using parts from other Type 3 plows acquired later for parts, not accessioned. Important link in Boston Collection, meets National Criteria. 5106, 5138, 5159 & 5164 are all similar.
