The Contemporary Arts and Crafts Association is a non-profit cultural association created to respond to the need to recognise and promote the excellence of our country's craftsmanship, both nationally and internationally. With the collective exhibition "Masters of the Future. Crafts and Design in Europe", held from 21 March to 30 June at the Castle of San Jorge in Seville, the Association wanted to promote the renewal of craftsmanship in Spain through a creative vision of the contemporary world that understands and recovers the wealth hidden in the knowledge accumulated over centuries of craftsmanship.
A total of 3,000 visitors saw the exhibition, which brought together a series of 55 works that explore and illustrate the concept of a contemporary master craftsman. The exhibition proposed a dialogue between 35 Spanish masters and a selection of 20 European masters. Alongside the exhibition, a series of meetings were held with leading professionals (national and international) from the sector to analyse the current situation of craftsmanship in Spain and its projection into the future.
