Meeting of the Latino Civil Rights Task Force

In the aftermath of the Mt. Pleasant Riots in 1991, local Latino leaders organized the Latino Civil Rights Task Force. Their report detailed the local Latino community’s challenges in accessing education, health care, housing, and government services, leading to the growth of DC’s iconic non-profits and educational organizations like the Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School.
