Mental Map: Faster am Wasser

Mental Maps was produced during the artist's stay in Hong Kong. Combining the realistic accuracy of traditional maps with his own interpretation of local environments, these small watercolors document the artist's perception of major cities in Asia, South America, and Australia. The sensory overload of his experience as a tourist is reflected in this series. The brightly saturated paintings reflect the ever-changing nature of our globalized society.
