"[...] Mezzotint, a technical procedure which, in addition to in tensifying the darkness of surfaces, also generates a velvety effect. The process dates back to the mid-seventeenth century and requires enormous discipline and technical discipline. Iberê did not make use of this process in many engravings; its results, however, achieved through the exceptional diligence of his work process, highlight the mysterious climate of each one of these works. [...] Loneliness is accentuated in the darkness that envelops the objects, upon which a light is spilled the origin of which cannot be identified. [...]"
