Meyve Bahçesi (“The Fruit Garden”) is one of the agriculture books written by M. Fazıl, one of the knowledgeable and experienced names in agriculture of his time. On its cover, it is noted that it is a book which discusses the ways to protect fruit trees from diseases and cure diseased trees.
The 67-page book, published in 1923, contains a lot of drawings, visuals and detailed descriptions. It is virtually a small handbook written back in the day for the farmer and the villager. Apple, pear, quince, plum, peach, apricot, jujube, medlar, pistachio, almond, walnut, hazelnut, olive, fig, mulberry, chestnut, raspberry and grape trees are described with the visuals required for the protection from and treatment of diseases.
