Middlesex Room

The Middlesex Room was one of the dining rooms that formed the south wing of Alexandra Palace. A number were transformed into television studios by the BBC in 1935. The remainder were destroyed by fire in 1980. The decoration changed with the fashions and this simple aesthetic was applied over the more ornate, original Victorian decoration.
