Midland Hotel, Marine Road Central, Morecambe, Lancashire

The Midland Hotel was designed by architect Oliver Hill. It was built in 1932-3 in concrete and rendered brick. The hotel features a number of works by sculptor Eric Gill, including carved sea horses and a relief depicting Odysseus and Nausicaa, and frescoes by Eric Ravilious.
