This calabash is made and used by women. The material used is obtained from Kikuyus or Kipsigis. The decoration is usually in triangular pattern and various decorations of no particular meaning. The calabash is used for storage of milk in the house and collecting milk from the cows. Sometimes is used for water or honey keeping.
