Seoul, South Korea

In 1930 Van Cleef & Arpels designed and patented the minaudière, which would be sold at Asprey, the luxury store in London. A combination of compact and purse, the new accessory was similar to the small vanity cases produced by other high-end jewellers of the period. This stunning example features a band of diamonds on a rose gold clasp.
