In Crocetti’s research , often the portrayed situation represents the moment before of right after the climax of a certain event. The Model taking off her clothes it’s part to the series of sculptures which belong to this research: the choice of the action isn’t a traditional artistic pose but it’s the spontaneous gesture of preparation to a certain pose, to the plastic positioning that permits the classic anatomical study from life.
The portrayed woman’s texture and sensuality is proper of real human flesh, made more gentle by the complex -but not clumsy- gesture of taking off her blouse from her shoulders. The dreamy expression of her face expresses a certain voluptuousness of her action, a discrete but present complacency of her own beauty, shown with sweet willingness.
