The Monument to Queen Victoria was created by architect Edmund Kirby. Styled in the form of an Eleanor Cross, it was unveiled in 1905 in the centre of Hamilton Square. A traceried panel at the base is inscribed 'Victoria Queen and Empress, 1901'.
