The sanitary motorboat “Samarytanka” was built in 1933 as the first vessel designed and constructed at the Gdynia Shipyard. Commissioned by the Gdynia Maritime Office, it served the port doctor in rescue operations. After the war, in 1945, it was found abandoned at the Belgian Quay. Over the years, the wreck changed owners several times until 1971, when—thanks in part to Jerzy Miciński—it returned to the Gdynia Shipyard, where it was restored and placed in front of the management building. Eventually, it was transferred to the collection of the Naval Museum in Gdynia, where it can be admired to this day.
