The jagged mountain seen on the left is Mt. Iwane, but it was more familiarly known as Mt. Fudesute. Long ago, the famous artist Kano Motonobu sketched this mountain which resembled Mt. Horai, but unable to fully capture the mountain in his sketch, legend has it he broke his calligraphy brush in half, and the name Fudesute (literally “threw away the brush”) stuck.
