This altar, photographed in San Juan (Salas) in March 2024, is cared for by Doña Flores de Salas, who continues the spiritual tradition of her late husband Calderon Flores, a maestro whose anima (skull) is now present on the altar to maintain dialogue with his spirits. The altar reflects a deep sense of continuity, where ancestral presence, Andean cosmovision, and Christian elements coexist. Rich in religious imagery, crosses, framed icons, and gifts from the community, it also includes natural items like shells, stones, and ceramics. This example highlights how sacred knowledge is passed down and kept alive across generations.
