Perseus fountain in the Grottenhof, to the west
Behind the fountain, the facade of the west wing of the courtyard can be seen. It reveals the division into two main floors with inserted mezzanine and is divided by Ionic pilasters. On the upper floor, in wall niches, there are replicas of sculptures made in the 16th century (using old parts). In contrast to the orderly state of the garden around 1930, which on the whole corresponds to the present state of the Grottenhof, this photograph from around 1900 shows an enchanted-looking place overgrown with trees and bushes.
