Raffaele Belluzzi (1832-1903), a dedicated patriot, Garibaldian volunteer, and teacher, played a key role in Bologna's social and political life. He also served as the first director of the Museo del Risorgimento. Throughout his life, Belluzzi amassed photographs showcasing the art and life of his time in Bologna, meticulously organizing them into three albums dedicated to painting, sculpture, and architecture. These photographs, taken between 1857 and 1903, were often donated by artists and photographers themselves. Upon his death, the collection became part of the museum's holdings. This photograph, number 53 from Belluzzi's Album III, is part of the Belluzzi Photographic Archive.
