Componimenti Musicali de Motteti Concertati a una e piu voci di Donna Lucretia Orsina Vizana Monaca nel Sacro Collegio di Santa Christina. In the 17th century, Lucrezia Orsina Vizzana was the only Bolognese nun to publish her own compositions, dedicated to her fellow sisters. The nuns of S. Cristina often defended their right to practice music, which clashed with the strict rules of religious authorities. In November 1628, the monastery was under siege: deprived of food, exhausted, and threatened with excommunication, the heroic musicians were eventually forced to surrender. (Coll. BB.63)
