The Historical and Architectural Reserve of Icherisheher

The museum of miniature (personal) books, with over 5600 miniature books and 39 window displays and having the area of 145sq.m, was established in 2002, and the books in this museum of books, which is the one and only in the world were published in 68 countries. Zarifa Aliyeva, the founder of the museum, created branches of the museum in Nakhchivan and Ganja by collecting over 7500 miniature books during 35 years. Religious books, 40 unique miniature books by American artists with signatures of famous people in the former CIS states and other foreign countries were included in the museum collection as a gift. The collection of a part of miniature books containing our prominent classics (Khurshidbanu Natavan, Nizami Ganjavi, Nasimi, Mahammad Fuzuli, Samad Vurghun, Mirza Fatali Akhundov, etc.) was included in the Guinness Book of Records at the exposition of the museum.
