Laura Siles Ceballos is an entrepreneur and co-founder of Mutur Beltz, a pioneering project that combines textile craftsmanship, sustainability and cultural innovation. Her work ranges from researching local wool from the Carranza Valley to designing and developing artistic and technical textile products such as sculptural pieces, fashion and accessories. Laura promotes the sustainable use of wool through workshops and runs the Buen Vivir Artistic Residence, where she promotes local culture and the circular economy. Her project aims to revitalise Basque wool, a traditional material, and create opportunities for local shepherds through cultural and artistic practices.
Throughout her career, Laura has established collaborations with prominent brands such as Lastur, Ternua and Mugaritz, demonstrating her ability to integrate innovation with tradition. Her holistic approach, from the shearing of the wool to its transformation into finished products, preserves the valley's cultural and natural heritage. Through research and development (R&D), it seeks new applications for wool and promotes sustainable practices that minimise environmental impact. Mutur Beltz reflects its commitment to sustainability, quality and the modernisation of local craftsmanship, combining tradition with contemporary design.
