Based at the GoDown Arts Centre, painter Gloria Muthoka creates traditional as well as digital art. She shares that she was a doodler from childhood, through her teens and now uses her skills as an artist to express herself. After transitioning from a career as full-time graphic designer, Gloria continues to create and explore new themes though her art. Her series on African Folktales was the subject of a successful exhibition at the Alliance Francaise in Nairobi in 2018. The pieces were a powerful recollection of African folklore which is central to our culture on the continent.
