İstanbul, Türkiye

Each short end of the napkin is filled with an intricate infinitely repeating design of verbena flowers, roses, buds and leaves. The stems are worked in satin stitch using metalwrapped silk thread and wire, and the flowers in double darning stitch in shaded tones. Below this there is a border of verbena flowers and roses arranged alternately. The edge is finished with blanket stitch.
