With the beginning of the eighties, in Naples and in the hinterland, explodes a ruthless struggle for supremacy and control of the territory between the nascent Nuova Camorra organized by Raffaele Cutolo and historians clan affiliated to the organization under the name of New Family, causing hundreds of deaths each year. The Camorra is currently considered one of the greatest scourges of southern Italy, and has thousands of affiliates divided into over 200 active families in the Campania region and at the same time cause and effect of most of the socio-economic problems.
