National Anthem of the Republic of Colombia

When Rafael Núñez was elected president of Colombia in 1880, Oreste Sindici took the text Núñez had written years before ot conmemorate the independence of Cartagena and musicalize it. The original anthem was more extense to the current one. It has a one chorus, three verses and one ending for an 8 minute duration. The music reveals the strong inluences in the music of this period of time.
