The stage area of the National Theatre is divided into a side stage, two back stages and the main stage with the playing area. This means that the area that can typically be seen during a performance, at around 800 m², is only a good third of the total stage area of around 2300 m². This means that we have one of the largest stages in the world among opera houses.
