Dressed for a family wedding by her grandmother, a young Ndebele girl wears traditional beaded leg hoops called golwani and an apron of beaded tassels called lighabi. During the wedding, the child accompanies the bride as a good-luck omen to assure the bride’s future success in childbearing.
