Mexico - Biennale Architettura 2016

In 1991, the flooding of El Fuerte river in Sinaloa damaged a number of Mayo towns. A public foundation invited architects Carlos González Lobo and María Eugenia Hurtado to lead to relocation of those affected to higher ground. The architects designed and built three new towns in close collaboration with their future residents.
