Commemorative First World War medallion presented to the family of Assistant Baker Arthur Hughes, killed during the sinking of White Star Line's Arabic on 19 August 1915. The medallion sits in a circular wooden mount with velvet surround. These plaques were commonly known as 'dead man's penny'.
Also accompanying the plaque is a presentation letter from George V and death card in envelope
