Well before the infamous Watergate scandal forced his resignation in 1974, Richard M. Nixon and his vice president Spiro Agnew faced plenty of criticism among the American public and press. Puzzle manufacturers could produce a jigsaw puzzle that lampooned the pair, on a two-sided puzzle--without fear of backlash. In those pre-Watergate days Nixon and Agnew were often portrayed as caricatures.
