Prize-winning author, Nnedi Okorafor will talk about her brief departure from the genre in which she made her name. Her inspirational new book, Broken Places Outer Spaces, describes her early life as a college track star and budding entomologist before she was diagnosed with scoliosis. After surgery, she is unable to move her legs and is bedridden. Documenting her experiences starts her journey to becoming a successful science fiction author. Nnedi also talked about her body of work and, of course, africanfuturism and africanjujuism.
