Two girls from the Nondugl region of the Wahgi Valley in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. They are clad in courting regalia: headbands made from bent reeds and beetle wings, supporting tall bird-of-paradise headdresses; necklaces made from carved beads, shells, bone, and tree-kangaroo tails; beaded bracelets and loincloths; and bright red facepaint.
