North Reef Lighthouse is located on North Reef, a 5.6 square kilometre (2.2 square mile) coral reef island 120 kilometres (75 miles) north-east of Gladstone, Queensland. Completed in 1878, it has a timber frame, and is clad in galvanised iron.
