Nyamagana's pond

Nyamagana's pong was dug by King Mutara III Rudahigwa with the help of Dubois ,a Belgian agricultural officer by then.This was after a several hunger Ruzagayura that hit the country in 1943-1944.King Mutara III intention was to eradicate malnutrition among Rwandans and prevent other similar and severe hunger attacks.Rudahigwa started fish farming by then.Currently,Nyamagana's pond is under the management of Nyanza district.
