This Oboe is a National Treasure and an extremely rare instrument built by Johann Heinrich Eichentopf (1678-1769), probably the most prominent woodwind maker of his time. The only other oboe known from this constructor belongs to the Museum of Musical Instruments housed in the Grassi Museum, in Leipzig, Germany
